About the role
As an AI Developer at Output, you build, deploy and run the AI systems inside our clients’ agencies. We bring the clients. You bring the builds. Every client starts with an audit of how they deliver, and you’re the one who turns that roadmap into systems their team actually uses.
You’re not selling. You’re shipping. Building agents and workflows in Output, wiring them into the tools each agency already runs (ClickUp, Slack, HubSpot, Notion, Xero, Harvest), and owning the relationship from the first phase on day 14 through every sprint after.
Top developers run a book of 10+ agencies within 6 months. Pay rewards both the accounts you look after and the builds you ship.
What you’ll do
Turn audits into live systems
Take the ranked roadmap from each audit and ship the first phase inside 14 days, built into the client’s existing tools.
Build and deploy AI agents and workflows
Reporting agents, delivery agents, client update agents, content and ops workflows. Custom to each agency. Not templates.
Integrate with each client’s stack
ClickUp, Asana, Slack, HubSpot, Notion, Xero, Harvest and whatever else they run. Meet teams where they already work.
Own client communication end to end
Kick-off calls, proactive updates at every stage, Slack replies within a working day. Clients never have to ask what’s going on.
Run fortnightly build sprints
Plan, build, review, ship. A new phase live every two weeks, with blockers flagged inside 24 hours.
Document every build properly
Workflow maps, prompts, integration notes and how-to guides. Someone else on the team can pick it up from your docs alone.
Measure what each build saves
Track hours saved and margin won back per client, so every agency can see what its system is worth.
Stay on the info diet
New models, new tools, new build patterns every week. You ship the latest playbook, not last year’s.

Hands on with LLM APIs, automations and integrations. Claude, MCP and TypeScript are a bonus.
Over-communicator. Clients and the team always know what you’re working on.

You move fast. Slow delivery kills client confidence.
Can look after a book of 10+ clients once you’re ramped.
Available 9am to 6pm UK time on Slack, Monday to Friday.
